00 To Succeed ... never make the same mistake twice

What I mean is ...
  • Mistakes are normal - we all make them
  • If you don't make mistakes then you are not learning new things
  • The lubricant WD 40 was created after 39 attempts ... #40 worked
  • Thomas Edison failed over 10,000 attempts to make a light bulb
  • However, both situations benefited from mistakes and never made the same mistake twice.
  • Lesson: Make Mistakes > Don't Make the Same One > Move On
Personal, school, athletics and business success is a result of trying and not giving up when things fail. However, that success is directly dependent on trying what you believe is correct, maybe succeed or failing and trying again - making sure you don't make the same mistake again. We have heard that a quote "insanity is doing the same thing over and over hoping for a different result" (that will never happen).

The lawnmower won't start so we pull the cord over and over - never starting the mower -or- you study for a test by trying to memorize dates and it just doesn't work so you try and try the same memorizing and you still cannot remember the dates ...

In both situations try once or twice the way you believe is best and then if you are not successful consider another approach or plan and move forward.
