- Personal relationships do not develop via social media. Learn to talk one on one and set aside time
- Never lie. a) you have to remember who you told and b) YOU WILL GET CAUGHT ... today, tomorrow or someday
- Relationships that are one way - where you give and others only take
- Making commitments without knowing exactly what is expected of you
- Those promising everything without telling you what the impact to you will be
- Those who use persuasion (promises, one-sided arguments, no facts) to convince you of something
- Things that 'sound too good to be true' (because they are)
- Those that talk bad of others ... they will someday talk bad about you

- Save some amount of any dollar you earn or receive as a gift
- Never buy on credit (except for a home purchase)
- Keep track income and expenses monthly
- Only buy things you need ... not what you want

- You cannot forecast the market - portfolio diversification is key

- Make the trend your friend - people will act today as they did in the past
- Listen to understand - not to respond -or-
- Seek first to understand then (speak) to be understood
- Start small and modify as your project develops - it will get easier
- Create a habit to learn something more than what you already know about EVERYTHING! Continuously learn
- Learn and use spreadsheets and track everything (you will see trends)
- Always have a 'back door' ... know the good and bad about an upcoming decision or action - have an escape plan
- Make the library your friend - schedule quiet time weekly to explore hobbies, read financial, home improvement magazines, etc. to be aware of other interest areas to broaden your multi-area knowledge
- Always start with the end in mind - know what you want and set goals
- Debate yourself ... be contrary - you want 'this', debate yourself why you don't need or want it.
- Read books and visit financial, health, home repair, hobby sites: learn and get ideas
- Attack procrastination - it is NEVER as bad as you think it will be and as soon as you begin the impossible becomes possible
- When about to decide on an action - pause and ask "would I be proud to tell my family this is what I did?"
